Organic Cube

Organic Cube was build during Copenhagen International Wood Festival 2009, in Østre Anlæg, the park next to Statens Museum for Kunst in Copenhagen, but has been moved to a new place in front of Valby Kulturhus at Toftegårds Plads, Valby, Copenhagen. Organic Cube Is a big hit among children and adults, they move around the pavilion to experience its transformation from cube to organic object and see the light travel through the many layers of wood, that makes the pavilion continually to change character. Adults mostly walk into the pavilion to experience the fine room, while children climb to get into the inner corner or to the highest top! The organic structure inside the cube is generated by rotating and lifting one side of kuben while it cuts holes in the sides of the cube, so that the is cube gradually opened.
